A time step, a waltz....

Click Click Click Clack...

All she could do was stare at the computer screen. Vacant. Unmoving. The only thing missing from the self induced catatonic state was a thine line of glittering drool. "So, what now?", Amber thought to herself. College she mused. She had spent her whole life dreaming about college and the degree she would graduate with and now she had no clue what to do with it. It was like a very fine wine that was left just a day to long on the shelf. Her future had a fragrant flavor that was laced with a metallic bitterness. By far the worst kind of after taste. "Way to ruin a perfect vintage." She scoffed at herself.

There she sat in her room with the only two real roommates she had ever had her sphinx like cats that were always more trouble than they were worth. Or so she felt that way most of the days. The oldest cat, Marguerite mewed a slightly quizzical expression that Amber only knew far to well. This was her cats way of telling her she needed a break...or maybe this was her subconscious' way of telling her she needed a life. Either way the mew awakened her from her numb state leaving her famished like she had been hibernating for weeks. Her body ached with a slightly familair feeling, as if the muscles in her back and legs screamed to break free. She knew what she had to do. Amber needed to go to the gym. She had only recently come to the conclusion that she now called the gym her other home because it felt alive. The whole building pulsed with it's on heart beat. The temperature of the bodies and the gossamer film of sweat the ghosts of fellow humans left behind. The breath of the tread mill and the hum of the elliptical all accompanied by the constant click of a weight being lifted and brought back to rest. It was in essence like being in another humans body. Amber couldn't get enough...

So this is what happens when I forced myself to write.
